Wobbly roof and seats removed from playground

We have removed the wooden roof that was over the table in the playground because it had become unstable. It was very popular but the wood had not lasted.

Thanks to the visitors to the playground who noticed the benches were also unsteady and laid them on their sides so nobody fell over when sitting on them. We've removed the benches now as well. Maybe they were being supported by the wobbly roof all the time.

So, that explains why there is a picnic bench without seats or a roof in the playground.

There are plans to replace some of the equipment and improve the playground.

There playground is public, is regularly inspected by RoSPA, and - like the hall - belongs to the village. If anyone has ideas or suggestions then please get in touch - we'd love to hear your thoughts.
