Dedication of the new roundabout

As part of an afternoon of celebration the day after the coronation of King Charles III the new playground roundabout was officially opened.

Kay Chapman, the town crier and vice chair of the hall committee, opened the celebration with a proclamation.

Cat Evans, officially opened the new roundabout and the children immediately gave it a go.

The old roundabout which had been a source of great enjoyment for many years had become quite difficult to maintain. It had been locked in place some time. With some fundraising and the support of the Parish Council and the Grampound Community Benefit fund a new one was sourced. Parts of the old roundabout have been stored and it may be used as part of a 'tactile' garden design in the Ham Field.
