Village hall-exterior

Grampound Village Hall is situated in the recreation ground adjacent to Fore Street, Grampound (the A390) midway between Truro and St Austell. The hall is behind Grampound with Creed Primary School. Satnav users: follow TR2 4SB.

The hall is owned by the charity, Grampound with Creed War Memorial Recreation Ground and Public Hall. The trustees of the charity are all local residents who administer the hall for the benefit of the local community. On Monday to Friday daytimes during school terms, the primary school has use of the hall. In the evenings, at weekends and during school holidays, the community has use of the hall.

The hall is a venue for frequent theatrical shows; a film club runs one evening a month; regular produce markets and antiques markets are held in the hall; the hall is available for hire for groups or individuals wishing to hold regular or one-off events.

The car park is free for those people using the facilities at or in the grounds of the hall. For others, there is a charge, see car park.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CORONAVIRUS

Please note that all shows and the film club have been cancelled until further notice. Produce markets, and craft fairs restarted in spring 2021. However, the organisers of the antiques and vintage fairs and the Film Club have decided that it is not practicable to restart these events given the continuing restrictions on numbers allowed in indoor events.

The play area has remained open. All users of the play area should follow guidelines on social distancing and parents should ensure good hand hygiene for themselves and their children.

The public toilet remains open and will continue being kept open unless we are advised by government to close it. Obviously, all users of the toilet should follow the usual thorough hand washing procedure.
